Keenan Walker is a third-year PhD candidate in the Graduate Program in Neuroscience co-advised since July 2024 by Drs. Christina Pacak and Marija Cvetanovic. In May 2023, Keenan graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development. Keenan’s research interests include modeling rare and neurodegenerative diseases using human patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) and 3D iPSC-derived neural organoid models to better understand the processes underlying disease development. In particular, Keenan is interested in exploring the intersection between neurodevelopmental processes and neurodegeneration.
