List of Biographies

Christina Jackson is a first year MINDS scholar who graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in Spring 2025, earning a bachelor of science degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Education. Her interest in neuroscience stemmed from personal experiences with witnessing the effects of Alzheimer's Disease and dementia, which inspires her research ambitions of understanding more about neurodegenerative disease mechanisms and hopefully contributing to the development of targeted disease-modifying therapies.

ABOUT

Jennifer Tinklenberg is a post-doctoral researcher in the Pacak lab. She received her Master's degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and her PhD from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Her strong history in behavioral neuroscience from her Master’s degree training provides her with an excellent background in animal behavior. She became interested in congenital muscle disease as a technician at the Medical College and her long-term goal is to work on the development of pharmaceutical treatments for muscle disease.
