Laboratory Manager and Research Technician
Audrey Daugherty is Laboratory Manager and research technician within the Pacak Lab. She received her Bachelor’s in Microbiology and Cell Science with minors in Health Disparities and Spanish from the University of Florida. Her future academic plans include pursuing a PhD in the hopes of a career as a translational researcher. Her goals are to bring investigative research to medicine while, bringing therapies to patients who have been traditionally overlooked by healthcare in the past. Her current research interests include developing AAV gene therapies for Cockayne Syndrome, the role of mitochondria in various neurodegenerative diseases and the mechanisms related to these rare diseases.
